Gabrielle Tucker the Founder and Principal Planner of Faire La Fete tells Dallas Wedding News about her wedding planning business.

How did you get into the wedding planning business?

Aside from the fact that we get invited to the best parties - it was actually my calling!  I love working with people on every level, so this was the best career choice for me.

What makes you stand out from the other wedding planners?

Being that we are a small boutique coordination firm, we only accept a certain amount of weddings per month.  This allows us to be a lot more flexible with our clients, and does not limit the amount of time and
knowledge that they invest in us.

What special services do you offer?

The English translation for Faire La Fete is to “Create an Elaborate Party”, which also ties in to our company slogan “Beyond the Traditional”.  If you infuse both of these elements together, the end result is phenomenal!  We approach wedding design like interior designers versus choosing a color pallet and centerpieces for your tables.  Our staff consists of graphic and fashion designers that have the ability to bring amazing ideas to the table.

What tips would you give a bride when she is looking to hire a wedding wedding?

With so many new coordination firms in the area, I highly recommend that brides ask for client and professional references.  Not only will this ensure that you are hiring an experienced coordinator, but it
will avoid hiring someone who has no experience whatsoever.

What do you like best about working with brides?

The experience of it all!  Be able to witness the joining of two lives together is an absolute honor itself

In your opinion what are some new trends in weddings?
Brides are getting tired of the same old food stations you see at most weddings.  They are focusing more on keeping things interesting by giving their guests a variety of options.  They still opt to have a beautiful wedding cake, but the groom’s cake is becoming optional. Instead, most clients are choosing to do petite sweets tables that consist of cupcakes, mini pies, cookies, etc.

What hobbies do you enjoy doing?

I love to read and spending time with my husband and kids.  This business can be very demanding, so quality time is very important to me.
